7000 megawatts increase in power generation capacity of power plants until summer 2023
it is planned to add more than 7000 megawatts to the electricity production capacity of the existing power plants by the summer of 1402. It has set up 140 measures, which include three sectors of electricity production and supply, consumption and demand management, and necessary programs to remove the limitations of the country’s transmission and super distribution network in the summer of 1402.
The spokesperson of the electricity industry added: These 140 programs in the field of production lead to an increase in the production capacity of new power plants by 6,000 megawatts, as well as an increase in the capacity of existing power plants and the removal of damaged power plants by a total of 1,700 megawatts, and based on this, 7,700 megawatts are added to the power generation capacity. The existing power plants will be increased so that we can pass the summer more reliably in terms of production capacity
According to Rajabi Mashhadi, with the capacities allocated by the power plant units of the mentioned industries, in the summer of 1402, the implementation of “consumption management” programs of the industry sector will decrease compared to the previous year.
In the end, the spokesperson of the electricity industry noted: We hope that with the planning done, we will deliver more energy to the demanding sectors of the country, especially the industry, and we will not have any restrictions or blackouts in the domestic, commercial and service sectors.
